CAD Technician

We are excited to offer an opportunity to join a fast-paced Irish engineering company. The role will be based in our office in Pristina, where you will work directly with an Irish team.

We are seeking an individual with a strong knowledge of the construction industry, particularly in residential development, ranging from single dwellings to large-scale residential projects.

As a CAD technician, you will be responsible for drafting technical drawings used in the construction of buildings. We welcome candidates who are receptive to adopting our working methods and standards, as this will streamline the onboarding process.

Requirements:

  • Ability to produce a full set of drawings for a 2000 – 2500 square foot dwelling within 8 working hours. These include basic design drawings comprising two floor plans, four elevations, and one or two section drawings, or similar standards.
  • Capability to interpret sketch proposals and translate them into designs.
  • Proficiency in English is essential.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (basic 2D design) and Microsoft Office.
  • Basic degree or diploma in a construction-related field (e.g., Architectural Technician, Civil Engineering, Construction Management).
  • Understanding of building dynamics and the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Drafting and preparing 2D construction industry-related drawings.
  • Basic drafting of plans, elevations, and sections for residential dwellings and commercial buildings.
  • Creating detailed drawings for construction practices on-site (template drawings and precedents will be provided).
  • Producing plans, elevations, technical details, and building layouts.

Salary: €1300 Nett per month (starting, dependent on experience) + 20 days paid holidays + all local public holidays + health insurance.

All hardware and software will be provided.

Work hours: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday GMT.
